YGG Play Summit 2025 Delivers Casual Degen Fun

December 5, 2025

YGG Play brought its Casual Degen ecosystem to life at YGG Play Summit 2025, with hands-on demos, life-size installations, and high-energy booths in the Degen District of the Summit’s City of Play expo. From LOL Land to GIGACHADBAT, Gigaverse, and Proof of Play Arcade, attendees could explore and immerse themselves in the best of Casual Degen gaming.

Running November 19-22, 2025, in Bonifacio Global City, Metro Manila, the YGG Play Summit drew more than 5,600 local and international guests and over half a million online viewers. Over the course of the week, YGG Play’s ambassadors joined other crypto gaming creators to engage directly with the community and celebrate games, degen style.

YGG Play Lights Up the Degen District

The YGG Play booth was one of the Summit’s top attractions, with gamers lining up throughout the week to explore its immersive setup. Creating an IRL Casual Degen arcade, the booth let players earn tickets across multiple interactive installations.

Degen District visitors could discover YGG Play titles at the booth’s iPad stations, swing for glory in the inflatable GIGACHADBAT batting cage, score Pudgy Penguin plushies at the YGG Play claw machine, and roll for merch on the life-size LOL Land board.

Tickets earned from these activities were redeemable for exclusive YGG Play shirts, caps, stickers, and even temporary tattoos.

Other booths in the Degen District offered additional hands-on experiences from YGG Play Summit partners Cambria, Earnscape, The9Bit, Coins.ph, RealGo, and more, keeping attendees engaged.

PC gamers could also play LOL Land at the Player District’s PlayZone, an esports cafe-inspired setup open to all with multiple Web3 titles.

YGG Play Ambassadors Bring Full Degen Energy

YGG Play’s ambassadors brought creator firepower and consistent engagement, delivering on-ground content and interacting with the community throughout the Summit.

Dub joined the Gamified IRL panel with host Sam Steffanina and the WolvesDAO crew to debate on whether the sports prediction app Football.Fun can be considered a Web3 game, among other hot topics. The Glitter Cloud co-founder even stole the show at Coins.ph’s “Love in the Metaverse” dating game, ultimately finishing second in the contest to win the favor of crypto bachelorette Abi.

Doug Hype, draped in his signature fur coat, also kept the momentum high. Cigar in hand, he presented the Best Sports Game award to FIFA Rivals at the GAM3 Awards, later bringing the same swagger to the Summit After Party co-hosted by YGG Play and GamingGrid.

Iceyyy, host of Gaming Daily and crypto gaming’s smiling assassin, brought infectious energy to the Summit, playing rounds of bato-bato pik, or Filipino rock-paper-scissors, with attendees and gifting winners with WolvesDAO pendants.

Iceyyy also scored serious alpha on YGG Play’s next game straight from YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon, who teased waifus sweeping into the ecosystem.

Creators at the YGG Play Summit also had exclusive access to the Creator Lounge, a dedicated studio-style content creation space conveniently located near the YGG Play booth in the Degen District.

LOL Lounge on the Town Hall Stage

Beyond the City of Play expo, the YGG Play Summit’s Town Hall conference stage saw Iceyyy and GamingGrid’s YellowPanther wrap up the first season of LOL Lounge in a live session with YGG’s Gabby Dizon and Leah Callon-Butler of Emfarsis.

Iceyyy and YellowPanther reflected on how their passion for Web3 gaming led them to content creation, and how they turned that hobby into scalable, sustainable businesses. They also explored what makes brand-creator partnerships succeed in Web3, emphasizing that long-term success comes from authentic alignment rather than short-term profit, genuine enthusiasm for games, and a commitment to building their audience and reputation.

“We work with a lot of creators, and there are some that you just know you can click with more. And when that happens, the work that comes out becomes extra special,” said Gabby on LOL Lounge. “There are some creators that are perfectly fine people, but for some reason — maybe you don’t click as much, or maybe they don’t resonate with the product as much, and it shows. When you see that extra spark, then it can be more of a long-term relationship.”

The Town Hall also featured fireside chats with key industry leaders, including previous LOL Lounge guest Shi Khai Wei, co-founder of LongHash Ventures and core contributor to Virtuals. During his panel, Shi Khai built on the points he and Jonathan Huang of BITKRAFT Ventures discussed in LOL Lounge Episode 5, exploring how integrating AI agents into games can create novel gameplay experiences and unlock economic opportunities.

Other discussions at the Summit ranged from the challenges of keeping content authentic when working with AI-powered influencers to the top-down approaches studios can take to ensure their projects capitalize on the next meta.

Casual Degen Games Take the Spotlight

The GAM3 Awards returned to Manila for its second in-person ceremony, honoring the best of Web3 gaming. Gabby opened the ceremony and presented the Best Ecosystem award to Ronin.

LOL Land earned nominations for Best Casual Game and Best Browser Game, which were claimed by YGG community favorites, Pudgy Party and Pixels. YGG Play partner Gigaverse bagged the Games’ Choice award, winning the vote of its fellow nominees.

On the final day of the Summit, YGG community member Munchies facilitated a live gameplay session of LOL Land, during which Gabby spotlighted the game’s new Christmas theme. He then shared updates on the latest LOL Land boards, Garden of Manila, designed in collaboration with GAM3S.GG, and World of Pirate, created with YGG Play partner Proof of Play.

Gabby also sat down with YGG Esports captain Disi and players spamandrice and Feno to discuss LOL Land strategy and gameplay differences across various boards. As the segment drew to a close, Feno noted the game’s similarity to gamified yield farming, with Gabby agreeing: “Our name is Yield Guild Games, and this is a yield game.”
