Waifu Sweeper and Dream Temple Join Hypebeast’s 20th Anniversary Exhibition in Hong Kong

February 27, 2026

YGG Play and Waifu Sweeper have landed in Hong Kong’s premier luxury retail hub, LANDMARK, in collaboration with Dream Temple, as part of the Hypebeast 20th anniversary Twenty T-Shirt Exhibition at Gallery HBX.

Following successful runs in New York and Tokyo, Hypebeast’s global anniversary tour opened in Hong Kong on February 6, 2026, coinciding with CoinDesk’s annual crypto conference Consensus. The showcase honors the style titan’s cultural legacy, featuring its historic collaborations with brands such as Supreme, BAPE, Virgil Abloh Archive, KAWS x HUMAN MADE, Takashi Murakami, Anti Social Social Club, and fragment.

The exhibition includes a pop-up store by the lifestyle brand Dream Temple, where the team unveiled a limited edition T-shirt showcasing Waifu Sweeper, Raitomira’s Minesweeper-inspired Casual Degen puzzle game published by YGG Play. This partnership highlights how onchain culture has moved beyond the screen to influence modern fashion and identity.

Casual Degen Culture Meets Contemporary Streetwear

Guided by the philosophy of “Know Thyself,” Dream Temple has a storied history of working with crypto luminaries such as Arthur Hayes, Smokey the Bera, and Gracy Chen. The Waifu Sweeper collaboration fuses Dream Temple’s clean lines with the Casual Degen aesthetic of YGG Play. This exclusive drop carries over some of the same concepts and motifs from YGG Play’s first T-shirt release with Dream Temple in 2025.

The “Waifu” tee has earned a dedicated feature on the Hypebeast website, putting the Waifu Sweeper brand in front of the platform’s devout monthly audience of 8M+ trendsetters and early adopters. This historic Waifu drop is available at the pop-up until March 8, 2026, or via the Dream Temple website until April 8, 2026.

Amplifying this crossover is 0xMeow, creator and Greater China Growth Lead for Abstract, the consumer-focused blockchain powering Waifu Sweeper and the YGG Play ecosystem.

Having driven visibility for Abstract’s high-profile partnerships, including Oracle Red Bull Racing and South Korean entertainment company Modhaus, she now lends her style to Waifu Sweeper, further merging crypto culture with the fashion world.

In a promotional video released by YGG Play, 0xMeow and content creator Yuki Rabbit model the T-shirt through the streets of Central.

Framed with the raw, handheld feel of a street-style lookbook, the video starts with an arcade machine falling from the sky and crashing onto the road directly in front of LANDMARK.

As the duo navigates the district, cinematic shots showcase the garment’s fit and design, while digital animations bring the Waifu Sweeper game world into the heart of Hong Kong.

YGG Grand Slam Takes Waifus and Chads to Central

On February 10, YGG Play hosted the YGG Grand Slam, a night of gaming and networking held at the sidelines of Consensus.

Attendees experienced an IRL first look at Waifu Sweeper gameplay since its global launch and tested their mettle with the GIGACHADBAT Power Swing to celebrate the $CHAD token launch.

The evening featured a panel with Abstract Head of APAC Brian Hong, 0xMeow, and Gabby Dizon of YGG Play, moderated by Leah Callon-Butler of Emfarsis. The discussion explored the shift from time-intensive RPGs to “instant gratification” games that can be played in 30 seconds, like LOL Land and GIGACHADBAT.

The speakers highlighted how Abstract’s high transaction speed enables these titles and cited the success of Roach Racing Club as proof that skill-based games can thrive on a consumer-friendly chain.

Gabby shared insights into the YGG Play Launchpad, explaining how a recent 25 million $YGG transfer to the Abstract Rewards Contract is fueling the platform. He also discussed how the Launchpad’s onchain quests onboard thousands of players for a new launch, often within a single weekend.

Looking ahead, Brian and 0xMeow shared Abstract’s 2026 pipeline, aimed at securing dominance in the APAC consumer market.

Guests were treated to hidden rewards, alpha drops, and never-before-seen merch. The centerpiece was the Waifu Sweeper x Dream Temple tee, housed in custom packaging designed to look like a snack pack.

The haul featured a mix of street-ready accessories, including $CHAD baseball caps and gold-plated nameplate necklaces, Waifu Sweeper plush charms, YGG Play-branded drawstring pouches, laser-etched wooden coasters featuring the cast of the YGG Play universe, and localized sticker sheets with statements written in English and Traditional Chinese.

By combining a raw degen spirit with high-quality production, the merch drop transformed crypto culture into a tangible brand statement. These pieces serve as high-visibility markers of degen DNA, establishing the YGG Play identity in the physical world.

The New Standard for Crypto Gaming Culture

Tie-ups with brands like Dream Temple demonstrate why YGG Play is the primary home for games that capture the specific rhythm of crypto culture. The collaboration aligns with the psyche of players who value skill, humor, and the social alpha of discovering underground hits.

“Gaming is a lifestyle. It’s not just something you do on your computer. You live it,” said Gabby Dizon. “Our collaboration with Dream Temple showcasing the Waifu Sweeper brand proves that the Casual Degen spirit is a core part of how this generation expresses themselves.”

As YGG Play continues to scale, the community can expect more IRL activations that push Casual Degen culture into new territories.
