Casual Degen Puzzle Game Waifu Sweeper Joins the YGG Play Ecosystem

December 8, 2025

YGG Play has unveiled its newest partner, Raitomira, developers of the new Web3 puzzle game Waifu Sweeper. Raitomira’s new title combines the timeless strategic gameplay of Minesweeper with gacha waifus, collectible anime-inspired female characters that act as players’ avatars or companions as they uncover hidden monsters and treasures.

Raitomira is coming on board in a second-party deal that will integrate Waifu Sweeper into YGG Play’s network of players, guilds, games, and key opinion leaders (KOLs). An enforceable smart contract revenue sharing will also be implemented, ensuring fairness for both parties.. With this partnership, Waifu Sweeper is set to enter YGG Play’s Casual Degen ecosystem.

Minesweeper Meets Anime Waifus

Although waifus have long been a fixture in the Japanese gacha market, it wasn’t until the release of games like Fate/Grand Order and Genshin Impact in the 2010s that this class of collectible characters would become popular in mobile gaming. Since then, gacha waifus have become a staple mechanic for developers seeking to capture dedicated, highly engaged audiences for their games.

Currently in pre-release, Raitomira’s debut title takes the classic puzzle gameplay of Minesweeper and spruces it up with the game’s titular waifus. Every time a player tackles a board to sweep it for mines, they can bring a waifu along with them and receive hints and guidance on where the mines may be. The same is true for rewards hidden in plain sight on each board, giving skilled players opportunities to influence the rewards they can receive per play session.

The development of Waifu Sweeper is currently led by Raitomira co-founders Hun Pascal Park and Karan Singh. Hun is an experienced publishing professional with prior experience at Blizzard Entertainment, where he helped deliver modern classics such as StarCraft II, Overwatch, and Hearthstone to millions of gamers worldwide. Karan previously worked at Tencent Mobile’s publishing division, where he helped manage the distribution of mobile gaming giant PUBG Mobile.

“Waifu Sweepers' goal is to give players more agency about their in-game winnings by introducing 'Skill to Earn' — reducing randomness and distributing rewards more towards skilled players in the game,” said Hun Pascal Park, co-founder of Raitomira. “YGG Play is an exciting new platform that is shaping a new Web3 gaming landscape with the Casual Degen genre, and we are happy to be part of it.”

Gamifying the Gacha Pull

The game’s skill-first design and casual, bite-sized gameplay loop make it a perfect fit alongside the rest of YGG Play’s Casual Degen lineup. Just as LOL Land set the stage by offering players a gamified way to engage in yield farming, Waifu Sweeper aims to gamify the gacha pull itself.

“Casual Degen games are evolving, and Waifu Sweeper shows very interesting skill-based gameplay,” said Gabby Dizon, co-founder of YGG. “Raitomira is a new studio, but its co-founders, Hun and Karan, have been building in Web3 gaming for several years. They are introducing new combinations that have not yet been explored, and I’m very excited to see the game’s progress.”

With this new partnership, YGG Play takes another step forward in providing crypto natives with easy, accessible, and engaging entry points into the world of crypto gaming. More publishing collaborations and game launches are soon to follow as YGG Play continues to grow its ecosystem through 2026.
